Second big win for David Vamplew

Scottish poker player David Vamplew, who recently won the European Poker Tour Main Event in London where he beat John Juanda, won the UKIPT 2010. With this second win, the player has established himself as one of the top poker players this season.

The UKIPT poker event was hosted by the Metropole Hilton in London and attracted a field that included renowned poker players from the United Kingdom. The poker tournament was a winner-takes-all tournament an Vamplew took home the prize when he beat all the other players.

As part of the prize, Vamplew won a free ticket to all the UKIPT stops in season two of the poker event including the Grand Final of the European Poker Tour, that will take place in London in 2011. The final hand of the competition saw Vamplew facing Jamie Burland.

Burland had previously won the UKIPT Brighton event but he could now beat the 23-year-old-player, who seems to be in a winning streak. What is most remarkable about Vamplew’s two wins in a row is that he only started playing in live poker tournaments this year.
